This oil is considered the sister of the popular eucalyptus but with substantial lemon undertones. Aroma-wise, it is most similar to Lemon Balm or Melissa oil with a slight Eucalyptus base note. While eucalyptus citriodora has many of the same attributes as Eucalyptus Globulous, it is very effective but much safer when it comes to the repelling of insects when compared to DEET. "According to the CDC, oil of lemon eucalyptus could be a much safer and more natural weapon than DEET.
